A tight-aggressive player (TAG) is similar to a LAG (loose-aggressive player) except they have much tighter ranges. They will still play their hands quite aggressively, especially in position. They will often raise and re-raise to intimidate players into folding. They are difficult to play against as they play made hands almost the same as they play bluffs. They are not afraid to get large amounts of money in the pot if they feel they are ahead or have enough hand equity or fold equity to win the pot. Be wary of this type of player and pay attention to their patterns so you don’t fall victim to their aggression.
