When your range is capped it means your hand is on the weaker side based on your actions. For example, if a player limps from early position, their range is capped because it will likely consist of low pairs, connected cards, and weak aces. We can deduce this because any big pair or suited Broadway ace should be raising pre-flop. The one caveat with this is, that some weaker Rec players may not raise any hands pre-flop, this is why understanding your opponent’s player type is of the utmost importance.
