Bet Timing

Bet timing refers to how quickly or slowly a player bets or acts on a bet. Typically, at low stakes, the faster a player acts the weaker their hand. For example, if a player calls your bet quickly, without thinking, they generally have a marginal hand. If they truly had a strong hand they would want to consider raising. Therefore, quick, non-thinking actions by an opponent, often signal weak to marginal holdings.
